Claar Cellars’ 16th Annual “Help Stomp out Breast Cancer” event during Catch the Crush

Claar Cellars’ 16th Annual “Help Stomp Out Breast Cancer” event will be held at their tasting room in Zillah, WA south of Yakima at Exit 52 off I-82 during the Wine Yakima Valley  “Catch the Crush” weekend Saturday and Sunday, Oct 13th and 14th, 10am until 6pm.

Barrels of grapes will be available both days for stomping and pictures.  The Grape Stomp will be held at 5pm on Saturday, teams of two are invited to stomp grapes in cut off wine barrels, one team member in the barrel stomping and and the other catching the juice in a wine bottle. The fastest team will be named Champion Grape Stompers.  A $5 entry fee for each team will be donated to The Lourdes Foundation and Lourdes Health Network who have been reaching out to uninsured women in our community through their Free Mammogram Program in an effort to save lives.

Those that pre-register their names to claar@claarcellars.com will receive a pink “Help Stomp Out Breast Cancer” bracelet.

Claar Cellars ‘Busty Blush, Rose’ table wine will be available for purchase.  Claar Cellars continues to donate $1 for each bottle sold to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle WA in support of breast cancer research.

About the Artist:
Artist, Dixie Rogerson-Bill, created the art for the Busty Blush label.  She has been painting and creating original art for over fifty years.  Her work has a mixture of realism, fantasy and nature.  By working in many media, a freshness is developed in expressing color, pattern and design.   Dixie is one of America’s Naiveté’ Artists.  The Busty Blush label won a Tasters Guild International Wine Label Design Competition 2007 Label of Creative Achievement Award.
