Touring Red Willow Vineyard with growers Mike and Jonathan Sauer is a rare treat. Learn first hand about one of the state’s oldest vineyards, the birthplace of Washington’s first Syrah, and a pioneer of Cabernet franc and Sangiovese. This tour offers an opportunity to see one of the most iconic vineyards in Washington State.
Your day will include a nostalgic tour with Mike Sauer in a covered wagon pulled by a vineyard tractor. The tour will include stops at a number of vineyard blocks, unique soil cutouts, and finish a top of the panoramic Chapel hill.
The wine tasting will include an Eight Bells Syrah, Mark Ryan Viognier, Adam’s Bench RW Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Glass Cellars Marcoux Cabernet Sauvignon, Owen Roe’s RW Cabernet Franc. The discussion will include all things vineyard, but will focus on Red Willow Vineyard’s history of pioneering varietals in Washington State.
This tour takes place on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 1-4 pm. Tickets are $75 and includes wine, food and grower education tour. Tickets for this tour are available online at wineyakimavalley.org. Space is limited; reserve early.
Food for this tour will be provided by Frank Magana catering.

Hi! Suggestion – include location.
Thanks Lisa – great suggestion. The vineyard itself is located near White Swan. We will be offering detailed directions upon check out. Access to the vineyard takes you through private property, to respect property owners we are providing directions individually. Hope that makes sense – we want to respect everyone involved.
